Oral dehydration powder is easily available in a chemist shop. It is good to drink electrolytes which are rich in potassium and sodium to recover from dehydration and vomiting. To get rid of fever caused due to food poisoning, a wet cotton or small towel can be kept on the forehead to lower down the body temperature.

If you suffer from vomiting due to food poisoning, it is recommended to drink little amount of water. Don’t take any solid foods until vomiting stops. You can eat bread, apple, bananas and biscuits which have salt taste. You can also drink soda which can help in stopping vomiting.
