Remedies for Oily Skin

Many people face problems that have oily skin as it brings with it many other skin diseases such as acne, blemishes and zits. And treatment of oily skin first can only bring end to these diseases. Oily skin can also be sometimes caused because of hereditary or hygienic reasons but the cure always lie in the basic things which we ignore in our daily life.

It's a myth that washing with cold water helps you get rid of oily skin.

Rather than that we should encourage the use of warm water with a soap free face wash. Some oil free soaps such as Clearasil or Neutrogena can also be used. A little hot water works as a solvent which helps in the removal of excess oil as well as dirt accumulated on the skin due to the stickiness.

A person suffering from oily skin should always try to use oil free skin products especially which are applied on the face.

It is always good to prefer powder based products as it dries up the excess oil and treat the pores at the same time. Even moisturizers should be carefully chosen and oil content in them should be checked.

It's noticed and also scientifically proved that a stressed and anxious body secretes more oil.

We can not stop our works but in order to reduce the stress caused due to that, we can try meditation for 15 to 30 minutes which opens the pores of the skin as well as relieves us from our over stressed life. A bit of exercise can also be tried before breakfast as the sweat released helps in cleaning the pores.

Mud packs always help to reduce the oiliness of the skin.

For better results, a spoon of lemon juice can be added which will not only help in reducing the oiliness but also make the skin look fairer with a recognizable glow. Wash the face as soon as the layer of the mud dries up completely; don't leave it for a long time as it may cause excessive dryness which can cause irritation.

Ten Ways to Flatten your Belly

Pot bellies can be caused by over eating, problems of acidity and also due to some non digestible substances used in the fast food. These substances can be the preservatives used in almost all the soft drinks and some food stuffs as well. All these can lead to the slow formation of a belly shaped stomach which gradually increases in size. Here are some of the remedies to get rid of this problem:-

  1. Drink at least 12-14 glasses of water per day especially after you wake up and before going to sleep.
  2. Drink only two to four sips of water after having breakfast, lunch and dinner and take the full quantity after around twenty minutes.
  3. Exercise daily and cycling is the best option for this. It not only helps in flattening the belly but also keeps you fit and balances your diet to a large extent.
  4. Instead of going to sleep or even for a short nap immediately after eating or drinking something, try to go for a short distance walk or sit for sometime in a completely relaxed mode.
  5. Try to avoid tea containing milk and go for lemon tea which not only helps in balancing your weight but also burning the saturated fats consumed by you. These fats, if consumed in extra quantity, can block the arteries and can also thicken the stomach walls thus increasing the size.
  6. Drink a glass of luke warm milk with a little sugar added to it half an hour after the dinner.
  7. After the daily routine in the morning, lie straight on your bed with the anklet of both the legs tied with a cloth. Then, try to sit straight without taking anyone’s help and keeping your hands straight. You will see a tremendous effect of this exercise and would actually feel it.
  8. Whether you wear a sari, suit, jeans or skirt, keep the belt below the naval point.
  9. Try to take a good quantity of lemon juice as it helps a lot in burning the accumulated fats in the body.
  10. Last but not the least, a good routine always keeps you fit. A little exercise everyday can bless you and the whole lot of left exercise routines in a single day can spoil the entire month.
