Due to ignorance, many people especially youngsters’ start taking weight loss pills to get in shape. However, these pills are not only harmful for the body, but can be life threatening too. These pills are mostly used by gym goers in a bid to get fast results and are popularly known as anti-obesity drugs. 

Some of the most commonly used weight loss pills are orlistat, lorcaserin, phentermine and DNP or dinitrophenols. Orlistat helps in minimizing the fat absorption process by intestine by obstructing the pancreatic lipase. Intake of this weight loss pill can lead to stomach pain and frequent bowel movements. Lorcaserin used as an appetite suppressant can cause nausea, headache and dizziness.
